The SHED aims to promote a culture of change around reuse through furniture upcycling, tool literacy and collaborative consumption. In its full form, the SHED will provide an accessible space to transform and repair usable but previously unwanted materials, with a key focus on furniture. Members will be invited to participate in a series of workshops/skillshares and formal trainings, increasing their tool literacy and building confidence around repair and upcycling. The programing aspect of SHED will focus on material repurposing, and aim to promote continuous learning around sustainability as well as improve participants waste management footprints. The SHED aims to enhance its member’s lives by providing a creative outlet that promotes self confidence and community through hands-on skills.
