This proposal aimed to bring indigenous speakers from remote frontline communities to Concordia University, so that they could share their unique experiences and knowledge with the Concordia community.
This series was organized in a spirit of cultivating a dialogue and discussion about sustainability issues, but rooted in an understanding of the reality of indigenous communities.
“Sustainability”, as a principle, involves the choices we make within communities, to lessen our ecological footprint on the earth. It also involves seeing the interconnectedness between communities, towards a healthy and ecological vision of the world and earth.
