This project seeks to create the opportunity for students to become Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified by fully subsidizing the $300 (USD) cost of the professional accredation exam for new construction administered by the Canadian Green Building Council (CGBC).
Sustainable building construction practices are implicit in the ultimate goal of this project. Further, by creating links between those who attain LEED AP status and those at Concordia interested in sustainable development through information sessions, guest lectures and activites organized by the Canadian Green Building Council’s Emerging Green Builders and endorsed by CUBES, we will be able to effectively disseminate information on and around campus regarding sustainable building practices.
