Currently, all greenhouse waste is managed with the university’s compost service, where it is shipped off-site to be processed. With the recent rise of vermicomposting on campus, we see the opportunity to pilot a better system. The Hungry Bin is considered one of the best industrial vermicomposting solutions on the market. Being able to process up to 14 Kilograms of waste per week, this new system can greatly reduce and potentially eliminate greenhouse waste being sent off-site to be processed.
