20% of Concordia’s student body is international students. The Conscious Flyer Project aims to educate international students on the impact of flying on the climate and to then offer them an opportunity to fly carbon neutral. Cleaner jet fuel to power airplanes exists and can cut CO2 emissions by up to 80% on a lifecycle assessment. The Conscious Flyer Project aims to get international students who have to fly to and from Concordia to offset their flight by using cleaner jet fuels.
