This project introduces an experiential learning system which explores and addresses multiple barriers created by bureaucratic institutions which continue to ignore and exclude the needs of intersectional marginalized communities. The goal of this project is to have students produce materials that directly address barriers facing their community of choice and that can be used by community members and political figures alike. Students will be working 20 hours over 30 weeks.
This project arose from The Refugee Centre’s advocacy working group, which is currently focusing on bureaucracy’s barriers to marginalized groups. Its aim is to produce a report and actionable materials.
