The Arab Short Film Festival aims to showcase short films of different genres made by Arab filmmakers. Due to the nature of the distribution industry in Montreal, few of these films make their way to Quebec. Most of these documentaries highlight activist practices that are usually a response to a number of socio-political concerns derived from the Arab region, something which connects with the history of Batiment7 as a leading activist body.
