On the evening of February 11, 2020, labour organizers from across Canada will be speaking in Montreal about how organized labour can respond to the climate crisis. These organizers will be discussing some of Canada’s most ambitious initiatives to simultaneously address climate change, diminish social inequalities, and increase democratic participation. We will be bringing together the labour movement with the wider community to discuss approaches to addressing the climate crisis which move beyond appeals to politicians, and instead favours the direct participation of large numbers of people.
