The PhD is a 20-minute short film that dives into the intimate life of an homosexual student who sees his relationship with his boyfriend shattered after suffering a nervous breakdown that costs him his admission for the PhD in psychology. It is an intimate drama with a touch of black humor that depicts the ins-and-outs of an unhealthy and complex relationship as well as the mental health issues surrounding the pressure of “becoming an adult”.
