The CFF is an annual festival that is run by students, for students. Our team is composed of Concordia students majoring in a spectrum of faculties such as fine arts, arts and science, and business, all of whom are eager to learn how to run a film festival. The team is driven by an innate interest in pursuing festival studies or undertaking work within film festival circuits. The festival serves as a platform for Concordia students who major in film production, film studies, and film animation to have the opportunity to showcase their latest works. The objective of the Concordia Film Festival is to connect students with professional opportunities in Montreal, across Canada, and around the globe. It also serves as a hub where students can exchange ideas and establish networks with one another. This is pertinent to the sharing of knowledge and the broadening of perspectives as a majority of our curated films revolve around themes of social justice, race and sexuality, mental health, and environmental justice.
