ImmerseBox:Water is an immersive and interactive installation that explores the impact of the human water footprint. Audiences will first be invited to enter a 4 sided tent/shelter that displays an interactive video/animation on its walls. The following are the main sub-themes of this project: corporate appropriation of bodies of water, water as a renewable source and the problematics that come with this view, water as a spiritual body, catastrophes (oil spills and industry caused water pollution), and recent events related to water issues such as the North Dakota pipeline. The purpose of this installation is to invite students to engage in critical conversations regarding water through interaction with the piece and with one another and to raise awareness about these critical issues today.
