The main purpose of this project is to convert Restaurant Burritoville on Rue Bishop in Montreal into a student-run solidarity cooperative. We hope to maintain much of its original vigor,only adding and complementing what it has already established. This will be one huge step forward inthe larger goal of transforming the campus food system, developing a strong social economy, and acquiring more autonomous student space.

The Burritoville building is in an old 18th-century Victorian-style home. Although built well and remaining in fairly good condition, it is lacking in energy efficiency. SAF funding will be used to undergo renovations in order for the building to be more sustainably sound.
