PedalBox Gallery supports the development of new works from emerging and established artists in any medium that can be dragged around town. We commission artists to create projects specifically for the mobile exhibition space. It’s a gallery that has no walls! Acting as an ambassador for the work, PedalBox brings art to places where art might not
otherwise be. Most people who come across the work weren’t necessarily planning to come to a gallery that day. Its versatility fosters hybrid collaboration with public events and festivals city-wide. This pedal-powered journey is an opportunity to both bring art out of the gallery
while simultaneously promoting sustainable forms of transportation and so, is a model for a more inclusive and accessible cityscape.
